We are looking for a structured and proactive **Quality Engineer** to strengthen our Quality team at Herøya. In this role, you will work closely with Operations, Laboratory, R&D, customers, and suppliers to ensure robust quality processes and continuous improvement across the organization.

You will become part of an ambitious and fast-growing company operating in the battery and automotive value chain, where quality, safety, and continuous improvement are key success factors.

**Key responsibilities include:**

- Support daily quality activities within Production and Laboratory

- Participate in testing and evaluation of graphite anode materials

- Support laboratory operations and coordinate troubleshooting of laboratory equipment

- Handle and follow up internal and external quality deviations

- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions

- Participate in internal audits and quality improvement activities

- Ensure compliance with quality standards, procedures, and 5S practices

- Support customer and supplier quality communication during production activities

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within Quality and Operations

- Participate in verification rounds (VR) and job observations (JO)

- Support reporting, documentation, and follow-up of quality KPIs

- Collaborate closely with Operations, R&D, and other support functions

The task list is not exhaustive, and additional relevant responsibilities may be assigned by the manager.

**Core qualifications and requirements:**

- Relevant education at minimum Bachelor’s level within Engineering, Quality, Chemistry, Materials Science, or similar fields

- Experience with quality standards such as ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949

- Familiarity with automotive quality tools and methodologies (e.g. PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC) is an advantage

- Experience with internal audits

- Experience from battery, process, chemical, or automotive industry is considered beneficial
