Our first industrial plant for the production of anode graphite has been opened in Herøya, Norway since 2024. The next phase will involve construction of a large-scale plant in Ontario, Canada.

Procurement Manager and Team Lead

We are looking for a senior procurement professional with experience from industrial or manufacturing environments. The successful candidate combines strong business understanding with a data-driven mindset and has experience leading teams, owning business processes and systems, and driving continuous improvement through analytics and performance management. The role requires the ability to translate data into decisions and work effectively across Procurement, Operations, Finance, and IT.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and develop a team of Procurement Managers, Buyers, and Procurement System Support resources.

• Own and continuously improve Vianode's Procurement Process, ensuring efficient, compliant, and scalable ways of working.

• Own and develop procurement-related systems and tools, including procurement, supplier management, and due diligence platforms.

• Drive data-driven procurement performance through reporting, spend analysis, supplier performance monitoring, and KPI development.

• Develop and maintain supplier categorization and segmentation to support strategic sourcing and supplier management activities.

• Act as the key interface between Procurement, IT, Finance, and other business functions regarding procurement processes, systems, and data.

• Support strategic sourcing, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. Willingness and ability to handle operational tasks is also required.

Core qualifications and requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline.

• Solid experience from procurement, supply chain, or sourcing roles within an industrial or manufacturing environment.

• Proven experience leading teams, projects, or procurement functions.

• Strong understanding of procurement systems, data management, reporting, and process ownership.

• Strong analytical capabilities and ability to translate data into decisions and actions.

• Experience and strong understanding of cross-functional mechanisms towards Operations, Engineering, Finance, and IT.

• Excellent communication skills in English. Scandinavian language skills are an advantage.
